Ted O’Connor

Ted was born in Oshawa, Ontario and was a multi-talented athlete, excelling in hockey, golf, lacrosse and fastball. He played professional hockey for the Hershey Bears from 1951-52 to 1954-55 before joining Windsor of the Western Ontario Senior Hockey League for 2 years. He then declined an opportunity to play for the Cleveland Barons in 1957-58 in order to pursue the World Championship with the Dunlops.
After his time with the Dunlops, Ted was a scout for the Boston Bruins, Minnesota North Stars, and Los Angeles Kings, and also spent a few years in the NHL Central Scouting System before retiring from scouting in 1995.
