Lorne Briscoe was born in St. Jerome, Quebec, in 1962. His education included Anderson Collegiate in Whitby as well as Kemptville Agricultural College near Ottawa.
His accomplishments in lacrosse include a Junior “A” championship and Minto Cup with the 1980 CBC Builders and 5 Senior championships and 3 Mann Cups with the Brooklin Redmen.
Lorne’s lacrosse career also included success as a coach, guiding teams to a Provincial Bantam “A” championship in 1985 and the Bantam “A” National championships in 1986. He also coached the Central Ontario Bantam Team at the Ontario Summer Games in 1986. He was coach of the Whitby Warrior Junior “A” lacrosse team in 1990, 1991, and 1992. In 2000, Lorne coached the Nepean Novice Lacrosse champions.
