Doug Vipond

Doug was born in Brooklin in 1935, the second youngest of nine children. He played minor sports in Brooklin, Whitby, and Oshawa. Doug’s lacrosse career includes playing for the Brooklin Merchants from 1953 to 1960, winning two Championships in the Intermediate “C” and “D” divisions in 1957 and 1958. From 1964 to 1968, Doug played with the Brooklin Redmen, and was a Mann Cup Finalist in 1964 and 1965 before winning that title in 1968.
