Bob was born in Fenelon Falls in 1935 where he played minor hockey and baseball. He moved to Whitby in 1954, and then to Brooklin in 1958 where he saw his first lacrosse game and has been involved to this day. Bob has been the manager, president, and director of the Brooklin Lacrosse teams including the 1968 Mann Cup Champion Redmen.
He stared his work career as a carpenter and then joined the Township of Whitby as a firefighter in 1958, becoming a career fireman in 1971 and retiring in 1995.
