Brian Reed

Brian Reed was born in 1960 and is a native of the Town of Whitby. He attended Henry Street High School in Whitby and continued his post-secondary education at McMaster University in Hamilton. He also earned a degree from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario in London.

Brian played Whitby Minor Lacrosse from 1965 to 1976, where he was a member of the Canadian Peewee Lacrosse Champions in 1972. He was a goaltender for the CBC Builders from 1977 through 1980, capturing a Minto Cup Championship in his final season.

After his playing career was completed, he continued with lacrosse as team physician for both the Junior Whitby Warriors and the Senior Brooklin Redmen (1986-1990).

Brian was also active as an executive with the junior team from 1988 to 1990 and was Club President in 1989. From 1994 to 2004 he was an assistant coach in the Whitby Minor Lacrosse Association.

Brian was the former Chief of Staff at the Whitby General Hospital from 1993 to 1996.
