David Chevier was born in Sudbury in 1958 and attended General Vanier Secondary School and Durham College in Oshawa. He was a trainer and referee in lacrosse and hockey. Dace has been an OMHA hockey referee from 1973 to present an OHA referee from 1980 to 1989 and an OHA Junior and Senior College hockey referee. Also, he was a trainer fro the Oshawa Legionnaires Junior “B” hockey club from 1978 to 1980 and for a Metro Junior “B” 25th Anniversary All Start game in 1979. Dave’s lacrosse career as a trainer comprises the Whitby Warriors (1981-84), the 1981 OLA All Star team at Whitby, the 1982 All Star team at Peterborough, the 1984 Minto Cup champions as well as the 1980 Whitby CBC Builders. His sports highlight with the Builders was being the trainer for his first ever Canadian Championship.
