Sandy Air

Sandy Air was born in Toronto and played his minor hockey in the Toronto League up to midget age, following which he played Jr. B for Victory Aircraft in the Metro Toronto League.

After two years at that level Sandy played Jr. A for one year with Stratford and one year with the Oshawa Generals. Following Air’s Jr. hockey stints, he played for five years in the U.S.A. at Milwaukee of the International League, with Kansas City in the US League, and the Boston Olympics in the East Coast League. Returning to Canada, Sandy played for one year with Niagara Falls in the Sr OHA League, followed by six years with the Whitby Dunlops from 1954 to 1960 culminating with two Allan Cups and one World Championship.
