Donna was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and moved to Whitby in 1974. Her involvement with the Whitby Precision Skating Teams included positions as Chairman, Manager, Competition Chairman, and Fundraising Chairman over a period of more than 20 years.
She was awarded the Elizabeth Swan Award for her contributions to Precision Skating in Eastern Ontario and is also an Honourary Lifetime Member of the World Figure Skating Confederation.
